Small Computer Serial Interface (SCSI)

Small Computer Serial Interface (SCSI)

SCSI-1

Established in 1986 by ANSI which specified 5MHz Bus Speed, 8 bits Bus Width at 5 MB/sec and 8 devices per Bus. (25 D-Sub or 50 position Centronics)

SCSI-2

By 1990 ANSI approved it's SCSI-2 which can use FAST SCSI at 20 MB/sec and Wide SCSI at 16 bit Bus Width to support up to 16 devices per Bus (25 or 50 position Centronics)

SCSI-3

Using Ultra Wide SCSI can increase Bus Speed up to 40 MB/sec and Ultra 2 SCSI double speed to 80 MB/sec. (50 or 68 position high density D-Sub / 50 or 68 position .8mm VHDCI)
