The
IEEE 1394 standard has revolutionized the transport of digital data in the

The IEEE 1394 standard bus has the ability to provide high-speed data transmission
rates for digital audio and video applications and features plug-and-play
connectivity.
I/O Interconnect features a premium quality line of IEEE 1394 6-circuit
and 4-circuit connectors. These connectors contain full metal shielding
for ESD (Electro Static Discharge) protection and rugged gold-plated leaf
contacts that will withstand up to 1,500 mating cycles. A polarized shell
design and friction lock grounding fingers ensure plug retention and provide
an audible click when mated. I/O Interconnects IEEE 1394 cables use a
high temperature plastic that can withstand SMT soldering processes
